Editor's Note: September 2024

Welcome to spring. Guys can you believe that people are already working on the year end functions. Not sure about you but it feels like there is still so much to do this year - are we going to have enough time? How do you plan to get through the last months of this year? People are planning their holidays, holidays we say not at CCMG this is our busy time.

On Webinars, we had a fantastic session with Kevin Brits re: “The Future of Work Overview’s” again a fantastic presentation and knowledge sharing from Kevin. A big thanks to him for his constant participation in the CCMG and the quality of his presentations.,

Our next Webinar on the 18th of September brings back another favourite, Phillip Scheepers who is going to update us on what it means to be POPIA compliant. Now that the regulator has gotten her teeth into the role, she has not been shy with clamping down on companies that are not complying with POPIA. Register now as it is going to be a good session.

The awards are about to launch and we are changing things up this year as the entrants will only need to submit a submission and not a 100 question and answer session. Get ready as you will have until the end of December to enter the awards. The esteemed judges lead by Faye Joubert will be ready to start as the entries are submitted. Also remember that this year all members in good standing with the professional body will automatically get 1 point just for submitting. This is to thank you individual members as well as the Corporate Members for their ongoing support of the CCMG. The Awards will once again be held at the Balalaika Hotel in Sandton in May.

We have also launched a digital badge that all member or corporate members can use in their signatures to indicate their participation in the Professional Body.

Our 31 learnerships through S. Seta with Ascensos and TransUnion are enjoying their NQF 4 Learnership being delivered through RIMS, Dr Wynand Goosen and his team.

Our conference this year will be virtual giving more people access to the knowledge sharing that we will have in store for you. We will be calling for speakers in January 2025. If you have any interesting thoughts about topics you would like to hear please send me an e-mail sharon.haigh@ccmg.org.za
